thoughts

Us humans are interesting creatures. We live in a sensory physical world that is perfect yet we destroy it within our minds. We do not live solely in the present as other organisms do; we live in the past and the future, a result of our language ability. Language allows us to build verbal relationships between one another but removes and distances us from our sensory and more instinctual based interactions. Language is a double edged sword. Because without darkness one cannot determine what is light and without light darkness does not exist. Language is a shadow which doesn't disappear when the sun sets, instead it infiltrates our very being. It is language that allows us to remember the love born of our senses, chemical make up and instinct. But sometimes I wish to forget.
