Wellington Fashion Week ~ Day 2

Thursday the 4th of April signified the start of the WFW shows for me (although WORLD showed the day before). I attended the AW’13 Group Collections Showcase where Trelise Cooper, Moochi, twoWORLDs, Storm, Mondegreen and Taylor showed off their Autumn/Winter '13 collections. This was my first ever runway experience and I found the media pit terrifying at first but then began to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Afterwards Caitlin, Bri and I drove to the Kathryn Wilson showcase which was a lovely event. Afterwards we stayed to help her and the workers pack up the chairs etc.

Wellington Fashion Week ~ Day 1

Today was the Photographers Exposed Competition, which was organized and judged by the incredible Brady Dyer. There was about 20 photographers who entered and we all had between 12-2pm to shoot what we consider to be our interpretation of fashion in Wellington. I focused my idea around the creative process that is involved with fashion design and creation and brought in elements that reminded me of WOW and Weta Workshop, both which are significant to Wellington itself.
